Would you like to increase overall productivity and team efficiency in software development? If you‘re interested, I have the perfect system for you and your team to adopt. This is the Agile methodology. I am going to explain how and why this will take things to the next level.

What is Agile?

One definition of Agile is a project management technique that consists of periods called “sprints” that allow a team to keep focus on the productivity of a project by working together. A “sprint” is when a team hyper focuses on a single task in a pre-determined time frame. This practice will make a project more manageable and then will result in high-quality work in a shorter amount of time. In early 2001, 17 people met to discuss the future of software development and Agile was born out of a need to find a common ground among other frameworks. Below is the manifesto.

My personal application

In my short time as a student of web development, I have unintentionally implemented this to an extent. For example, while collaborating with a peer, we would often tackle the same task together before moving on to the next. This was extremely helpful in completing difficult tasks. With all this being said, you will absolutely see an increase in efficiency by implementing the Agile method. If you are curious to learn more, please refer to these links.
